Why amphibious? Well, the winery that I make wine at is named after the Eastern Red Spotted Newt. This small indigenous amphibian is delicate, gentle and kind: often overlooked but incredibly beautiful and elegant. It possesses a kind of strength and poise that is obvious, yet sometimes defies description. These are some of the characteristics of the wines that I strive to make. And this blog is a reflection of my view of the wine world through a newt's eye.
